Iām in the sunny south of France, in Saint-Paul-de-Vence to be precise, where the latest Jacquemus show has taken place. The collection, titled āLes Sculpturesā, was presented at the astonishing Fondation Maeght, which is home to the most exceptional artworks. Think Giacometti, MirĆ³, or Chagal.
All guests were dressed in black, white, or beige. Monochromatic neutrals were the leading tones of the front row, besides Kylie and Stormi, who were in traffic-stopping red. The signature square-toe ballerina heels from āLe Chouchouā were on all feet and the newest bag āLe Petit Calinoā was on all wrists too. Julia Roberts, Jack Harlow, and Aron Piper were in attendance and the showās casting was equally as impressive.

This season, the Jacquemus man and woman are a little more mature, slightly less playful and kitsch, but a lot more BCBG (ābon chic bon genreā) aka chic and conservative.
Gigi Hadid opened the show in an embossed belted maxi coat with balloon sleeves, and white stilettos. While most of the 47 looks were quite discreet, intense touches of red made several appearances. On the menās side, button-ups were paired with striped ties, briefcases were handheld, and uniform-like loafers were on the feet. It was a surprising mix of office-core, with hints of 90s fashion while simultaneously targeting the art dealers of the world.
As for accessories, vanity square-shaped bags made an entrance in patent red and black while double sandals with a stacked double heel were an interesting novelty.
The closing look embodied purity to the finest; the bride wore a body-sculpted piece that left us all speechless and emotive.
In short, the collection mixed grace with simplicity quite smartly. It might have been a little further away from the usual theatrics, but simplicity has its charm too.
